Yeah, the controls are about the same. I’d say Heavy Rain was a bit more intense though. Until Dawn is more like an 80s horror movie. That being said, it’s still VERY M rated.
There are a lot of really funny mess ups in the game. I like how Sam leaves to take a bath and when we next see her, three hours later, she’s still in the tub.
…Okay; that prior comment was supposed to have a “/joke” faux-HTML tag at the end of it, but apparently the parser ate it up (I hope it didn’t try to actually render it as HTML (which I’m testing by trying to make “HTML” bold)…)
So… the comments support embedded HTML. That’s neat, though I hope that the domain of HTML specification supported this way is limited on the server side (I imagine that there’s a lot of unpleasant things that might be made possible if that’s not the case)
Yeah, I’m watching Markiplier play it and lately I’ve been like “Where the **** is Sam? Is she still in the bathtub and did she somehow not hear all the yelling and mayhem right downstairs?”
for some reason, seeing (most of) the main cast in pink jackets is just too funny.
(also, not to sound weird, this pink jacket strip will silence some of the “Nicoule’s a dude” people if they’re still here)
Hahaha, I was just like “wait…is this…you…man everyone’s on the Until Dawn bandwagon now! XD” I’m currently watching Markiplier, Jacksepticeye and Cryotic all play the game. The different styles are fun to watch. Plus I pick up on stuff that may have been done differently or that I missed watching in other playthroughs.
I’ve been making sure to keep ahead of Markiplier in the game so he doesn’t spoil anything. I’d probably be done with it by now, but I ran into a glitch in chapter 5 and had to restart the entire game.
I’ve been watching Markiplier’s playthrough. The game is innovative, to be sure, but the analogies to Silent Hill: Shattered Memories are quite remarkable. While I give credit to the makers of Until Dawn for creativity and putting together a solid game, I’ll always be thinking that Silent Hill did it first. Maybe not better, but first.
But hey, there are a lot of games that borrow themes from other games, so it’s not that unusual. I do like the mechanic of having to find clues to discover the whole story, though. Good luck on your playthrough!
No, he can’t delete your save game. If you want that kind of 4th wall break play Eternal Darkness. I keep hoping for a 3DS version of that game since so many people missed it on the GameCube.
Hear hear! I for one hated the vast majority of the characters due to their annoying personalities, so if they make a sequel where you play as the psycho then sign me up!
I like how each of the them represent one of the ways to play.
Kade/Searcher: Will search every area and notice every strange detail in hopes of finding something.
Rick/Completionist: Does everything possible in the game until there is nothing left to do but play.
Nicole/Careless: Doesn’t matter what happens as long as the finish the game.
Harvey/Destructive: Tries their best but something ends up destroyed or doesn’t end like they wanted
When I play games with choices I go for Heroic: Does what they can to make sure every action is the good option.
Then the last one in choice games is Ruthless: The opposite of Heroic. Hopes for the evil outcome.
What game is this based on?
Its based on the new game for console called Until Dawn
Seriously? An in-game therapist?
Seriously.
Dr. Hill is creepy, but fun. Just keep picking polar opposite responses and he’ll get mad with you.
LOL
Silent Hill?
no, until dawn. It’s a new telltale styled horror game, in other words just dialogue choices and quick time events
Not really. Theres a significant exploration element. Not finding something or solving a certain puzzle will lead to a characters death.
Its more like Cabin in the Woods, and youre the one in the control room.
There’s a lot of exploration in telltale games too
That poor fox, no-one helps him to find Hannah, apart from Harvey… sorta…
Also WHY is Nicole so calm about EVERYONE DIEING….
Either she’s just always cakm and collected, a secret psychopath, or because it was only a game…
I’m guessing #1 or #3
I wouldn’t say always *flashback to the haunted rob chapter*.
ok, ALMOST ALWAYS
Nicole is well aware it’s a video game. If you loose you reset the game and try again. No big deal.
I know, but I wouldn’t look so casual about it (^ ^)
yeah that’s a wee bit offputting.
“ah, everyone died, whatever”
It’s just a videogame…
I think Harvey did the best, based on how I think things should go.
Harvey for the Win! Yes! When you can squick out an AI, you got to be doing well.
It’s from Until Dawn, it’s plays almost exactly like Heavy Rain
Yeah, the controls are about the same. I’d say Heavy Rain was a bit more intense though. Until Dawn is more like an 80s horror movie. That being said, it’s still VERY M rated.
I thought of it like a telltale game but now that you mention it is very similar to heavy rain
I think id do the same as harvey XD and it is a very good game!
I’m all of them at the same time.
Harvey, you might have gone too far this time…
Like, WAAAAY to far…
flamethrower is never too far
Is that based on a real game?
yes, it’s called Until Dawn
Ah, thanks.
Rick is my favorite character.
I’m guessing this is one of the silent hill games? XD and so sweet of Harvey to keep Hannah warm like that xD also, I like Nichole’s paw shot x3
Lol, nobody knows what game this is. XD This was one of the funniest strips in awhile, you should do more Until Dawn jokes!
There are a lot of really funny mess ups in the game. I like how Sam leaves to take a bath and when we next see her, three hours later, she’s still in the tub.
You’ve never taken a three hour bath?
…Okay; that prior comment was supposed to have a “/joke” faux-HTML tag at the end of it, but apparently the parser ate it up (I hope it didn’t try to actually render it as HTML (which I’m testing by trying to make “HTML” bold)…)

Yeah, I’m watching Markiplier play it and lately I’ve been like “Where the **** is Sam? Is she still in the bathtub and did she somehow not hear all the yelling and mayhem right downstairs?”
well first of all she wasn’t “in” the bath, and wasn’t it a “meanwhile” kind of thing?
for some reason, seeing (most of) the main cast in pink jackets is just too funny.
(also, not to sound weird, this pink jacket strip will silence some of the “Nicoule’s a dude” people if they’re still here)
I’ve noticed, that your ability to do “turned heads” is REALLY DANG GOOD.
Pink is just a color, I don’t see the big deal
on what? the jackets or nicoule?
(the jackets stand out, and idk how to put it, nicoules jacket is a bit “form fitting”)
pls don’t take that weird.
I meant that I don’t think Kade and Rick wearing a pink jacket is funny, it looks nice on them 🙂
OMG! is harvey out of timeout now from the last comic? lol
This is so funny and i have only seen one video of the part 1 play through 🙁

Is the wolf suppose to be Josh?
No, Josh was passed out at that point in the game. I was going for Mike. 😛
Ah, well I haven’t played the game yet and only know the characters from lets plays. Would you recommend the game?
I’ve been watching Markiplier’s playthrough. The game is innovative, to be sure, but the analogies to Silent Hill: Shattered Memories are quite remarkable. Hey! CoryxKenshin recently played this.
…three people died so far. With that being said, I’m with Rick on this one. I would jot down notes whenever I play it multiple times.
-Does he really reset your save file when he gets crossed with you long enough? He only got upset when he points out contradictions and bias.
No, he can’t delete your save game. If you want that kind of 4th wall break play Eternal Darkness. I keep hoping for a 3DS version of that game since so many people missed it on the GameCube.
It’s possible. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Thanks for suggesting a game though, my video game inventory was looking a bit small. :3
Hear hear! I for one hated the vast majority of the characters due to their annoying personalities, so if they make a sequel where you play as the psycho then sign me up!
Ness playthrough.
“Oh, Ness, you found…Hannah?”
“SQUEAK!”
Also! Kade’s adorkable in the pink jacket x3
Well at least Harvey is the only one who cared about Hannah…somehow…
Save Hannah? In game therapists? What is this, a simulator?
doesgn’t matter anymore: game collapsed

Sorry for the long comment.
why does kade looks like a girl and nicole like a guy with those pink sweaters
Awww ; poor Harvey : lost his save X_X
Aww what about ness?
I would love to see a strip where their mom comes to visit and meets Harvey and Ness. I would love to see her reaction.
does…what happened to harvey happen in the game for real? XD
Nicoles face in panel 1… are we sure she is free from possession?
The poor Hannah has to worry with such “helpers” ^_^”
I love how Rick is a full planning person ; i bet it must to be nice to play with him …………………………… in an unscheduled game ^_^
Nicole , Rick and Kade are wearing the same pink anorak . Is it planned in the game or there is a symbolism behind ?
.
Hang on? How can Kade see Harvey with his contact lense in?
I kind of get a beyond two souls vide from this
Well, they did make a sequel
