I like the fact that she actually struggles to lift it and set it down. Those things are heavy. We have one in our basement and every time we need to get to something we have to move it. I don’t know why we keep it though xD
Back in the days, I was driving to LAN-Parties with my Tower PC and one of those CRT Monitors on one of those small motor scooters. Always an adventure I can tell you!
lets see, they’re a little bit over 5 1/4 each… correct for curvature adding an inch or two… thats a 21in crt. no wonder she’s having a hard time lifting it.
why? it’s just 5.25×4.5, round down to nearest common monitor size cause the curve would add a little bit the way shes measuring it compared to doing it properly. basic math.
I still got one of those monster’s, hooked up to a 386 machine that runs several A/C units. I turn it on a few times a year to make adjustments to the on/off times.
That’s not how CRT monitors were measured. CTR TVs yes, but monitors no. Monitors were oddly measured by the diagonal of the circuit board, which usually lay flat at the bottom of the case. My 19″ CRT monitor on my 1999 Dell only had a screen diagonal of a little over 17″.
Thinking about it, that’s actually a pretty big screen if she is measuring from the base (where the cartridge fits into the console) of a SNES cartridge.
Kade must be on the other end of the phone thinking, “Oh my god… she gets me…”
This might just be the thing that makes him get down on one knee.

Might be yours that just got sold?
She’s so cute
And now all measurements must be done as such.
Yeah, she’s his soulmate.
These two are perfect for each other!

Can I introduce you to my junior year high school Physics teacher? He would be blown away by that mesurement conversion.

do you not know how to multiply decimals and then round?
Oh she is just perfect for him XD
I get the feeling, she hangs around Kade too often.
What’s that in washing machines?
Oh she’s a keeper.
Every nerd to ever imagine a dream girlfriend realistically is jealous of Lade right now.
She is so adorable! Kade’s lucky to have someone like her.
Have either of them Met the Parents yet?
Riley met at least Kade’s mom on Christmas, I’m assuming she also met Kade’s dad as well.
I’m old school, can you translate that to cubits please ?
Distance between wrist and elbow(generally agreed upon as being 14 inches)? Roughly one and a half cubits.

I remember seeing an old Commodore computer providing the weather-feed to the radar room at Seymour-Johnson AFB. a, err…lonnng time ago. 😉

Always hated repairing those, took way more time to troubleshoot than many other monitors.

That should be the 17″ version, so slightly above average for the time.
