Ness is a squeaky toy and has very little strength. Once you catch her it’d be relatively easy to put the collar on and her plush paws would make it difficult to remove.
Why on earth would Ness not want to go on Ebay? The chance for new owners, terrorizing children, getting exorcised by drunk priests, or maybe even becoming an actual hunter. Wait, don’t forget the government. Can you say operative? Then again, I doubt anyone would believe Ebay about an animated stuffed wurm. Ahh, dark.
I think Nessie has officially become one of my favorite characters of this strip, if not my main favorite. *grin*
Since coming into being as a possessed plushie, I think she’s pretty much stolen the show, as it were. I love that her characterization doesn’t need her to speak at all for you to understand rather easily what’s going on in her head. She’s sort of like a mildly malevolent mischievous feline with the intelligence of a 6 year old in the body of a squeaky toy plushie. (Just smart enough to be really annoying when she wants to be and comprehend moderately complex things like video games, but not intelligent enough to be truly dangerous.)

We had a cat we put a bell on once so it could never really hide… In the end it got skilled enough to walk, and even jump without making it ring.
