“A Night on Bald Mountain” is the title of the segment of Fantasia which features Chernabog. Bald Mountain being the mountain where Chernabog lives, which is based on a real mountain in Slovenia, and Chernabog was based on Chernobog, a demon of Slavic origin dating back to the 12th century.
You know I had to look it up cause i forgot who/what Chernabog was. And I found this rather funny…
“In the film, Chernabog was animated by Vladimir Tytla. Tytla was Ukrainian and thus had a clear image in his mind of the character of his culture’s folklore. Thornton Hee recalled wanting to ask Tytla about something but finding that the animator’s room was in complete darkness save for the fluorescent light under Tytla’s drawing, which lit his face in an eerie way as he worked. This unnerved Thornton enough to compel him to leave without alerting Tytla to his presence at all.”
Disney villain from a segment of Fantasia based off a Slavic demon. Within the Disney pantheon he’s considered Satan and is the only Disney villain described as pure evil, doing evil purely for the sake of evil.
Come to think of it…
Are y’all talking about the original Disney “Fantasia” or the more recent re-make? ‘Cause I don’t remember Chernabob being in the original.
…but then, it’s been a looooooonnnnngg time since I saw “Fantasia”. And I never saw the remake. 😉
Wait, why didn’t he just ask Rick and Riley to test the arcade cabinet instead of dragging Harvey and Ness around? Unless he’s saving it to reveal later once he knows it works properly.
Isn’t chernabog a Disney villain from fantasia
He features in “A Night on Bald Mountain” in Disney’s “Fantasia”, but Disney didn’t invent him.
Pufnstuff: Disney didn’t invent Chernabog.
Disney’s Lawyers: *Paperwork intensifies* We did, now.
Harvey looks for any excuse to take one of their souls huh.
But I want to hail Lucifer!
How much you wanna bet when Kade set Ness down she bolted right back up the steps xD
(Also hey if anyone remembers the coin from like a while back I think it’s gonna come into play here. Just a theory of mine 😛
ooooh yes, the coin…
All hail the coin!
Why is the tittle specifically say Bald Arcade? Is that a reference i’m not getting?

Didn’t Disney call it “Night on -Witch- Mountain” in ‘Fantasia’? I think “Night on -Bald- Mountain” was its original title.
Disney wiki says it”s Bald Mountain. Witch Mountain is from a live action series of movies from the 70s/80s.
Why aren’t the new pages being posted on Facebook anymore???

Chernabog, the Slavic god of evil? I would say no.
Well ; summon Chernabog only to carry arcade cabinets : he risks to feel insulted about it . Not a good thing ^_^”
Make your basement as an arcade game area , that’s a good idea . I just hope it will be gags inducing too XD
Who’s Chernabog? Sounds like a cool guy. 👌

He’s from the original and I believe is only briefly seen as a statue in the 2000 version.
Reckon I need to go re-watch “Fantasia” again! 🙂

Chernobog is an old Slavic god of death
