I just love how impressed Nicole is from Ness and how happy she is for the compliment.
Also Rick should be glad its not some other, not so fluffy figure hanging in his face, i think a skull with sharp looking teeth would hurt more than Ness π
Maybe its something similiar like what Harvey tried to explain how people see him or he can make people see him. Maybe Ness just squeaks but through manipulating the other in some way they are able to understand what shes saying.
It’s roughly based on the way Tim and I interact with our dog. She barks (obviously) and we assume we know what she’s saying based on how she’s acting or what’s going on around us. So if Ness looks proud she must be affirming her brilliance c;
*Insert Lassie Joke here* π
I understand what you mean (as an dog owner myself, and our loves to nudge us into the right direction) – so these two have found a way to communicate without using words – this would also explain why some of the others had some problems “understanding” her first.
What if that’s a literal leap of faith, and the pit only works if you believe it’s real?
Say, you’re too stupid to see right through the illusion; then you can fall onto the spikes if you miss your jump. Or if you can’t make out the illusion in the dark, but you believe nobody would put an actual pit there; you can just walk on through.
I don’t know what happens : on several strips , my comments doesn’t appear ; and when i try to write it again , it’s said to me it can’t be because of a duplicate ……….. 0_o
Same thing happens to me when I try to comment on how the previous strip reminded me of certain telepathic races from the fourth Star Trek series. It happened just now again, I can’t say the name of the series (starts with “V”) cause it won’t post if I do.
But then it would be nice to know what kind of words we arent allowed to use – so we dont sit there and wonder why our post didnt go through π
But what Ephesus said reminded me of something – i think the one post from me that didnt go through had also a name in it, i think i compared it to something or mentioned something, maybe thats all. Maybe its just that the systems blocks everyone who names another show/story/world/etc.
Where I can get this carpit?^^
That’s the most adorable I’ve ever seen Ness.
hehe you’re right!
well Ness is cute anyway & yeah I wants a plush of her/him
So that’s what Harvey meant about the pit.
A meaningful conversation with a plushy is cute on so many levels.
And just for the fun of it, the white lizard chick comes out of no where
Clever girl, Ness

I don’t remember if the comic explain how Nicole could understand Ness’ squeaks.

Ness here is looking like the facehugger from Alien horror series.^^
Plot twist: the fake pit hides a real pit.
I kinda wondered about that myself. π
What if the “fake” pit ended up following cartoon logic and acting like a real pit?
Oh OOOOH.
What if that’s a literal leap of faith, and the pit only works if you believe it’s real?

I cant tell you why only – that this had happend to me before. I didnt have any links in them or any bad laguage.
Weird X_X

Maybe there is keywords (from the webpage) blocking our comments , as the word starting with “V” ?

I’m with Nicole, that was pretty legit.
Oh wow, cool! Too bad it wouldn’t work on extra-short/-tall people.
Oh, I dunno. I think it might work, at least briefly, if the tall/short people saw it from just the right distance. π
Not to mention in the dark.
He’s such a third wheel in all conversations xD
All the more reason for the white lizard girl to show up. A fourth wheel, for balance. π
To be honest, Ness is also sort of invasive and obnoxious here.
Reminds me of my father and sister.
This is what happens when you let your pets watch “Alien” ^_^”
So…the next test must be to find the real Holy Grail.
Leave it to Ness to stick to Rick’s face
