My brother and I played Starfox Zero on the Wii U. That has a similar co-op mode where he steered the Arwing to maneuver and dodge attacks while I focused on aiming and shooting. It went really well, even during the final battle where we had to fly through a fake wall that only I could see given our setup.

I also love the grin on Nicole in panel 2, she’s teasing without being mean. Seeing them both happy in the end, is making me happy as well ^w^
Not a retro feature, but the share a controller options in Xbox can make almost any game a co-up game. I remember playing Halo 5 with friend. One of us moved and around the other took care of the shooting. That was a lot of fun XD
Heh! I cannot identify game consoles by their controllers, and I’ve never even knowingly seen most of the ones referenced in these comics. Got my first, and still only, game console when I was well into my 40s. And even then it was on sale because the New & Improved Playstation-2 was coming out! LOL
I understand Nicole is the pilot , so ? Maybe it’s a better idea to put her as gunner ……… But they never choose an easy solution ^_^”
They could play Streets of Rage, think it was 2 that after the final boss you could choose to turn on your co-op partner to become the new big bad.

Yeah, panel 2 is my favorite, both the look on Nicole’s face and their lines. Nicole’s last line though… That is some serious foreshadowing. LOL 🙂
