She should just put Kade & Riley in a bedroom and tell them that they ain’t leaving til she has a grand pup in Riley’s oven. She’d then leave and lock the door. Window has bar’s.
Space heaters are generally propane so that they don’t generate much if any CO when running correctly (unlike the kerosene wick heater Dad used to use that nearly killed him on multiple occasions because he’d ignore the CO alarm going off because it ‘bothered him’), so unless she’s getting a wood stove too I guess the wood is for building the cabinet for the game?
Also I love her determination to ship the two together and do whatever she can to get the ‘ship’ into ‘dock.’
Their dad is asking too many questions. Wood now, puppies later.
I wonder if Nicole found someone if it would be more or less direct from their mother, since Nicole would know what she’s getting at while Kade is a bit oblivious to all her attempts.
(Sorry, I’m an MD, sometimes a dirty mind comes with the territory…the lewd mnemonics just stick better, and it’s a LOT of knowledge to memorize! Don’t worry, I’ll stick to PG.)
Welp, Mom has completely given up on Nicole xD
dunno if “given up” is correct. More that she doesn’t presently have any serious matchmaking prospects
I agree, i think if Nicole had a partner the mom would try for her way harder then Kade.
At least she’s not trying to set her up cliche style.
Well, her beau’s a bit cold on the idea.
Kade will never take a hint, but I wonder if Riley will pick up on what the parents are doing and why.
Mom on a mission XD
Well, I won’t say she’s got a one-track mind, but she’s definitely driven to see those grandpuppies some day.
After all these years she’s tired of waiting so she’s finally taking drastic action.
She should just put Kade & Riley in a bedroom and tell them that they ain’t leaving til she has a grand pup in Riley’s oven. She’d then leave and lock the door. Window has bar’s.
How subtle.

The expression in panel 5…
Have I mentioned how much I love Kade’s mom?
C’mon, mother, maybe not everyone wants grandkids, y’know?
It will be cool to see some shopping adventure with the parents only.
A quest for grandpuppies begins!
You’re so kind with your insistence about puppies , Mom ; but it will depend mainly from Kade ….. ^_^”
I think Riley also has some say in the matter. 😉
It will be more easy to get acceptance from Riley than from Kade , about puppies ^_^”
PVC for survival situations, let’s check it out
How embarrassing that she might have to explain to her own husband about the Table Saws and the Bees.
I see where Kade gets it from.
The mother’s looks, the father’s awareness.
Pardon the cackling from over my way~
Omg now I gotta see Kade x Riley puppies but I’d still love to see Nicole find someone
Their dad is asking too many questions. Wood now, puppies later.

Double entendre in the first line there…

First comes an arcade, then comes marriage,
then comes Harvey in a cerberus drawn carriage
Mom is going all granny mode again!
Kade: “Instructions unclear, somehow the table saw is pregnant.”
Rest of cast: “….”
Kade: “Don’t go there. I’m not interested in competing for a Darwin Award.”
All turn to look at Harvey, who’s holding a copy of the H.P. Lovecraft version of “This Old House” behind his back
Harvey: “…what?”
The dad’s reaction in that last panel is hilarious
“Well, Solomon had this idea about settling arguments using children…”
