Being an Adult
Technically the plural of Lego is Lego, but everyone I know has always called them Legos, so anything else just sounds weird.

I just love how they look in the 3rd panel
hehe Yeah that sudden realisation of “We can do what we want now”
Still big puppies though.
I remember that feeling.
Like Amiibo I sometimes say Amiibo’s
The true essence of adulthood is being able to finally do the stuff you wanted to when you were a kid.
So true. XD
Agreed!
Oooh yeah! You are *so* right! What was one of the first things YOU did as an independent adult? I went out and bought a brand new Kawasaki dirt bike and learned how to ride it. I also bought an R/C car. …and a Winchester 30/30 lever action rifle. …and an electric guitar. I was all set, top of the world.
As far as I recall, it was stay up all night and eat whatever junk food I want. It loses its novelty pretty fast, but its still fun to be bale to indulge on a whim
I bought myself a projector and a 5.1 surround sound receiver since i now had the space ^^
i knew where it was going on the first panel
This remember me when I was kid, my cousin and me alway build a really big house of cards in the hallway and before we finished, our grandma destroyed, good times… I guess.
you are never too old for legos. NEVER! 🙂
I hope not. I bought a Lego Wall-E the other day. I considered bringing it with me so I’d have something to do on the plane.
I use to make my pokemon army out of legos.
Every one that lives with them should know what happens when they get together with old ideals
AWW!!! They should have had Metal Gear Solid style (!) exclamation points above their heads! Missed opportunity!
Now I’m picturing that panel MGS style as an animated GIF complete with sound effects.
Come on, Tim. Make it so!
seconded
It originally was, that’s why there’s so much room above their heads. :3 But having two red exclamation marks somehow changed the mood of the panel.
I was comparing it to the “Harvey, I choose you!” comic, and I have to agree. That red exclamation mark works much better in the case of someone being utterly surprised. This moment is more like, “Hey… Wait a second…! Why don’t we do that now!”
… At least when they build this, it won’t melt away like when they made Hyrule out of snow as they did in a previous comic. But I can only imagine how hard it’ll be to walk around there once they do make the overworld in the living room.
kades ears perked up kinda makes him look like a blue fox
The ears, yes; but, not with that face and muzzle! 🙂
I-DE-AAAA!

😛
Ooh, how is THIS going to look when it’s finished? I’m excited!
That third panel: light dawns on marble head. “Hey. We’re adults now. We can do whatever we want!”
I had an “Oh my god, I’m an adult” moment the other day, realized that A, I can drive a manual, B, I get paid to drive for a living, and C, I have my own apartment. Had to wonder exactly who signed off on that plan…
Lego will always be awesome. Now the rest of my week will probably be spend working on my Clock Town models…Can’t wait to see what master mess this leads to.
omg i 110% want to do that now ;_;
Dang it Tim. Now I want to go and buy a giant lego set.
To this day I still have a couple old Lego creations lying around my room. My best works, though at 21 years old now I could make the same things in my sleep. I just can’t bear to dismantle them though, they are some of the biggest reminders of my childhood.
LOL sudden realization in the third panel xD I love the shots of Nichole’s paw here ^^
I really miss the days I would spend hours playing with the lego figures I made. Most of them were “Frankenstein’d” from various sets. Good times, man.
That’s the best part about Lego. It’s also the reason I don’t really care for the Star Wars sets, too many specialty blocks that can’t be repurposed.
The sets were actually pretty good in that regard. It was fun figuring out how to get the pieces to work in a new thing. I recall making my own walker and weapons for them using repurposed parts. Definitely fallen off of that, but I did get a few Mega Blok Halo scenes. Small ones, really.
Third panel is kind of “W No parents around now”
“WOW , no parents around”
A light mistake in Kade’s first words , in the second panel : it’s written “rembemer”
Blarg… oh, well. I won’t be able to fix it until I get back from RainFurrest con.
That’s basically how half college students react to finding that they are now free to live as they like.
Legos!
I’ve been following this comic for a few months now, but I haven’t commented yet.
I like this comic a lot.
Also, I imagine Harvey talking with a deep, booming, demonic voice. It’s just the voice I think fits him best.
Careful that they keep the peices together, don’t want ANY of them to scatter so someone could step on one.
That would be bad.
I wish I was an adult, then I could make a cushion fort whenever I wanted to.
That sudden realisation you can do what you want…
Also, poor Harvey! Looks so confused 😛
if they’re gonna get all the details then they’re gonna need a LOT of legos
They could totally do it, though. Let’s not forget, they once made Hyrule out of snow!
That look in the third panel is the nerdy adult realization face
Playing like children like the saying goes. I think it would be cynical to say that “childhood memories never die out.” :P. Unless you do forget them. I still play Legos!
Oh and the other whole saying “You’re never too old to still act like a child!”
… somehow… I can somehow see the next comic where their parents come over to visit, and see the whole living room area has the legos set up to look like Hyrule’s Overworld, and one of them would probably be like, “… really…? I thought we got you two to stop doing that…”
As for my own personal remark, those who think grownups playing with legos or even games are immature lack imagination. Sometimes the greatest things can come from something very simple like a toy. The experiment with a kite in a thunderstorm by Ben Franklin should be enough proof of that.
Did that actually happen, or is that just one of those myths they made up about the Founding Fathers, like thing about Washington and the cherry tree?
Ben Franklin did use a kite that had a key on the wire close to his hand. It was dangerous, but it helped us get to the founding of electrical power sources.
History lesson everyone.
Absolutely correct! *gives you a cookie*
Macadamia nut or chocolate chip?
The expressions of there faces are so cute!
True, one never get to old for Lego. Ain’t long ago I got the Back to the Future set ^^
Also.. since they live in the mansion now, why even move the furniture. Can they just pick one of the other rooms and convert it into a LEGO room? :p
I also have always called them Legos…until I step on one, then I call them G****** f**ing pieces of s***; f*** that motherf***ing hurts, oh my f***ing god why, why f*** f*** f*** f***, GAH F***!
The questions are, just how many legos will they need to purchase, and is the living room big enough.
Just came a cross this comic today. Went back to the beginning and read them all. Already LOVE the comic and the characters. Any wait for more.
reminds me of my sis and me rebuilding whiterun from skyrim in minecraft
wrong name oops 😛
I need to get good
I STILL think this is one of the best pages of Savestate so far (if not the best)
1. Lots of varied facial expressions/head angles
2. nostalgic as all heck
3. more insight into their hi-jinks.
Part of me cringes inside whenever I hear (or see) an american tag an “s” onto the end of Lego.
It just sounds so unnatural.
Like who the **** made that a thing in america?
… What the… I didn’t use a rude word, so why did it censor a thing?
Does Gravatar have a Nintendo-filter or something?
Pipe. Saturday. Shell.
… Scunthorpe?
****?
I’m pretty sure that was what it censored.
Not sure why though. What kind of brain-damage does it take consider “****” rude? What next? Bother? Silly? Dunderpate?
AAARRRRGH!
H£LL.
There.
Suck on that, censorsh!t.
“Legos” always sounds so weird. Everyone I know says “Lego” as singular and plural. Plus as an added bonus the company uses the lego as the plural as well. If you want to add an “s”, say “lego bricks”.
