And no, my brother and I never kept a set of spare controllers. We currently have a Rock Candy Xbox 360 control, but I mainly got it to play some PC games as well as adding a third player to our Halo matches. Controls are expensive.
Ha! I hear you there. When Tim got his Wii he let me borrow it to play with some friends and one of them threw the Wiimote into my mom’s nativity set (it was Christmastime). Knocked baby Jesus for a loop! Tim didn’t see it happen but I told him about it, hence why we now have guest controllers for them to smash up lol.

I’m not sure where it came from, maybe Tim remembers better than I do… but our dog Mandy (who Nicole is based on) used to smile and show her teeth and we’d always call it the sharkface. In case you hadn’t noticed, my family is a bunch of weirdos xD
With the limited number of characters in this comic, one has to ship every character with ever possible combination, otherwise you are stuck with just one or two ships, and thus it isn’t as fun to see people react when you tell them you ship X character with Y character, because everyone does, you need to add in Z character.
The only game controllers I kept on the back burner for friends/guests were the lame 3rd party controllers that had that button that broke the entire world >_<
I only have one really good controller for me, and then a few crappy controllers for when people come over. If my friends are coming over, then I make them bring their own controllers. I never have people come over enough to worry about having more than one or two controllers for every system I own.

If I ever played multiplayer it was with my brother, so my day-to-day controllers were my good controllers.

It didn’t awaken it. It was a key phrase Klaatu gave the heroine to keep Gort from toasting her and do a rescue and recovery of Klaatu.

I think many dogs “smile”, I know my uncle’s dalmatian (and sometimes my grandmother’s miniature pinscher) would grin from excitement.
