I can’t see Abrams doing much worse than midi-chlorians. The biggest thing I’m worried about is the fact the Abrams is now in control of Star Wars and Star Trek. Just seems… odd.
I wasn’t too thrilled with how he’s handled the Star Trek franchise so far (and I thought I wouldn’t be more disappointed than I was with the series finale of Enterprise, but Abrams was like, “Challenge accepted, here’s Into Darkness.”). I’m not going to unfairly judge Episode VII before it’s out, but I won’t be optimistic that I’ll like it.
That said, I am still optimistic that others will like it, because I know how much Star Wars fans have been disappointed with episodes I to III and I want them to have something to like about Star Wars again.
I, too, think that it’s odd that they gave him control of the two biggest science fiction franchises of North America. It’s almost like he’s got a monopoly. Heaven help us if he gets Doctor Who, too. (Which won’t happen, but just saying.)
Actually, there is a bright spot to this. Star Wars is currently owned by Disney. Who else do they own? Marvel. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has consistently hit it out of the park for a while now. There’s no reason to think that Disney doesn’t know what they’re doing by putting Abrams in charge of Star Wars.
I am so excited for this movie! All the actors are back for their classic roles, updated technology in movie making promises amazing tech leaps in a galaxy far far away, and freaking X-wings in flight again! Another thing that cane to me is if there is any stable central government or if the regional governors all tried to fend off the New Republic. Maybe the galaxy is in more chaos then ever before.
For the win!
My whole family is looking forward to seeing the upcoming movie. It may end up being the biggest star wars movie yet, as it now transcends at least three generations of Star wars fanatics!
kade….way to hog all the popcorn to yourself. also nice touch on their collars and charms by matching them from the emblems in the movies
I bet Kade enjoys Star-wars only as video game ^^”
What movie were they at?
Anyway, StarWars, uh, Yay? It’s a big thing right? I’m meant to say yay right?
So in here (Savestate universe) Chewie is human? XD
Come to a cinema just to see the trailer about “Star-wars” and neglect the movie : classic behaviour from a nerd ^^
