I’ve been loving this comic a lot. I do have a question about Nicole though since she was on a sunny beach. I had at one point in my life a brown Australian Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix that was brown and floofy like Nicole. During summer time though, her brown loved to sun bleach to a honey blonde. Has Nicole ever had any childhood or teen experiences growing up with suddenly Beach Blond highlights going on?
How cute! Our brown Aussie (whom Nicole is based on) did have a slightly lighter colored summer coat but it was barely an orange tinge. It wasn’t very noticeable at all. Some days I was convinced it was just the bright sunlight filtering through that made her coat appear orange. I’m not sure if Tim has put any thought into that for Nicole but it would be adorable!
Well I was just noticing she’s sticking to that shaded umbrella pretty well the last few panels while Kade is getting his fluffy brains baked in the summer sun. Hehe.
Aww, I was really hoping to see Harvey sitting in the lifeguard’s chair after stealing the scaredy-cat lifeguard’s shades, tempting to cause more mischief.
Well, it could have been worse for Kade. He could have had the classic dog-popcorn smell (I had an Aussie.. she actually did smell a bit like popcorn… before her bath’s).

We’re talking about animals that are anthropormorphic and have fur. Of course one does not want to be wet and suffer the wet fur.

My mix and currently now corgi takes on a stale Frito Corn chip smell when it’s time for baths. Interesting scent right?
Wouldn’t dogs be used to the wet dog smell and not mind it?
